8RO8
Hailing from the island of O'ahu of the state of Hawai'i, 8RO8 (pronounced Eight-Row-Eight) is on a mission to authentically showcase the Aloha state to the rest of the world. With his stage name paying homage to the state's area code (808), the 25-year-old rapper, singer, and producer uses his carefree delivery, infectious hooks, and ability to jump in between different genres and styles to represent the state's melting pot culture and paint a different picture of the islands not shown in travel brochures.
Although 8RO8 has only taken music seriously for the past few years, 8RO8 has already become one of the top artists out of the 50th state, amassing over 20M+ streams and gaining recognition from Spotify as one of seven Asian & Pacific Islander Artists to Know as part of their 2024 APIHM campaign. He stands out from the pack with his own twists on Hawaiian reggae classics, ability to infuse Hawaiian Pidgin into his lyrics, and his wide range of genres - ranging from hip-hop, r&b, pop, indie, and Hawaiian Reggae. His latest project, "Loose Shakas" featured collaborations with local legends J Boog and 94Tunez and peaked at #20 on Apple Music's Reggae Album chart.
